Enterprise Level are VPCs on Cisco new Unified Computing System (UCS).  UCS provides greatly expanded performance characteristics.  SAN is provided by either EMC or NetApp.

Appko Cloud uses Cisco UCS "B-Series" equipment preferably, but can configure C-Series in Appko Cloud Custom Level:

  • 6100 series Fabric Interconnect
  • 2100 series Fabric Extenders
  • 5000 series chassis
  • B-Series Servers

The expanded memory capabilities of UCS enable large scale Enterprise Applications  (ie; Oracle and SAP) well as transaction-intensive apps with large memory requirements to run on the x86 platform. The UCS supports enterprise level security and compliance, enabling these applications to run on a virtualized platform.  It enables massive scalability to ensure these large scale Enterprise Applications to perform optimally through the Appko Cloud.
